Agana Heights man arrested for possession of explosives

Guam - Law enforcement authorities found numerous firearms and explosives during a search of an Agana Heights home on Friday night. Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives task force, the Guam Police Department's Special Investigations Section, SWAT and K9 Unit and the Customs and Quarantine K9 Unit found the items when they executed a Search Warrant at a home on Passan Drive in Agana Heights on Friday night.
GPD Spokesperson Officer AJ Balajadia says agents found about 20 various firearms including rifles and small arms, a pipe bomb, California seal and around 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Police arrested Daniel Mesa on charges of being a felon in illegal possession of explosives and being a felon in illegal possession of firearms. Balajadia says the Navy's Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit assisted with the confiscation of the homemade pipe bomb and ammunitions.
