Guam - Macrina Tedtaotao has asked the District Court of Guam to sever her trial from that of her husband and co-defendant, Eric Tedtaotao. According to the motion, Macrina believes the prosecution intends to attempt to introduce statements made by Eric without him being available for cross-examination.

Both Tedtaotaos remain behind bars despite requests to the court to be released from jail. The court previously denied their motions for release noting that the couple who had received court appointed attorneys substituted their lawyers without first obtaining the court's approval.

The trial is slated to begin on April 23.
