Guam - Yigo mayor Rudy Matanane is hoping to turn a negative into a positive. The mayor woke up this morning to portions of the village's baseball facilities painted with graffiti, as well as a store across the street. He says last month the baseball facility and the nearby Senior Citizens Center were repainted with donations from the local business community.

Mayor Matanane is now offering a challenge to the offenders, telling KUAM News, "Challenge his friend to do a mural to challenge them on who can do the best mural in a more productive way, an a way where his art would really be appreciated by the village of Yigo."

Yigo mayor will designate certain areas for the mural and is hopeful that his challenge will add to the beautification efforts ongoing in the village.
