Guam - An Astumbo Elementary School teacher was removed from the classroom earlier this month and later arrested on ten counts of child abuse. According to Department of Education deputy superintendent Rob Malay, teacher Francis Almario has since been transferred to DOE's Central Office as superintendent Jon Fernandez has 60 days to turn over the investigation.

There were allegations of assault complaints formerly recorded by the Guam Police Department since late-February.
