Guam - A seventh employee who was terminated from the Port Authority of Guam in connection with an ongoing investigation into a Worker's Compensation claim has filed an appeal with the Civil Service Commission. Former Port planner work coordinator Leonora Leon Guerrero was terminated for allegedly altering Workman's Compensation forms for a work injury claimed by former Port marketing manager Bernadette Stern Meno, who reported that she slipped and fell in the bathroom.

Port management alleges that Leon Guerrero falsified the documents to make it appear as if Meno had gone to the hospital for an initial assessment because without that, she would be ineligible for any workers compensation benefits.

The original form documenting Meno's injury indicated that she refused medical treatment.

Leon Guerrero allegedly claimed she did not know why she made the changes or when she tampered with the file.
