Limtiaco creates business incubator program
Guam - Senator Mike Limtiaco has introduced bill which creates the made in Guam Business Incubator Program within the A.B. Won Pat Guam International Airport Authority. According to the Republican lawmaker the measure is designed to grow the local economy by giving access to our small businesses which make made in Guam products that bear the Guam Product Seal an opportunity to sell their products to the 1.3 million visitors that travel through the airport on an annual basis. Senator Limtiaco said he worked collaboratively with the Guam Economic Development Authority and the Guam Visitors Bureau as well as the airport on the bill. They were also present during this morning's press conference. The lawmaker anticipates the measure will raise up to $6 million in revenue. The Guam Visitors Bureau will fund $200,000 that will be available to small businesses to apply for up to $10,000 to start up their business.
