Guam - A local fisherman, whose vessel capsized 13 nautical miles off the coast of Guam, was rescued on Sunday morning. Coast Guard, Navy and search and rescue crews were able to locate the fisherman, who had made a radio call that his vessel was sinking, near Galvez Banks,
south of Merizo.
The Navy's Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron-25 launched a helicopter and located the fisherman on an overturned vessel. A rescue swimmer was able to recover the individual on an overturned
vessel and transport him back to land while the Coast Guard deemed the sunken vessel unrecoverable.
