Guam - The tenure of Port Authority of Guam board members, the legal services contract, and review of the Workman's Compensation insurance will be among the many topics of discussion during a legislative informational hearing on the agency this week. Senator Tom Ada called for the hearing to get clarity on the topics as well as other port related issues.

Ada believes that port board chair Dan Tydingco and board member Mike Benito are acting in an illegal capacity, as he contends their terms have expired. The Governor's Office, however, has a different interpretation and says the two were appointed for a three year term.

Ada has asked the attorney general to intervene to clarify the law.

The hearing is scheduled for three o'clock next Wednesday, March 5 at 3pm.
