Defense waits documents in Garrido murder case

Guam - 20-year-old Keith Garrido remains behind bars on a half-million dollars waiting to go to trial for the murder of 63-year-old Nancy Mafnas.  Garrido appeared in court this morning with his attorney who asked for documents related to the case. 

The Yona man is accused of beating Mafnas with a metal pipe inside her Barrigada home and leaving her to die after he stole $8 from her purse and then stole and crashed her car. 

Another hearing is scheduled for April 8.
