Film fundraiser by island youth
The island's youth who are raising money to attend World Youth Day in Rio De Janerio in Brazil are hosting a film fundraiser this weekend.
By KUAM NewsGuam - The island's youth who are raising money to attend World Youth Day in Rio De Janerio in Brazil are hosting a film fundraiser this weekend. "Restless Heart: Confessions Of St. Agustine" is a movie which was filmed in Europe and based on St. Agustine of Hippo, one of the Catholic Church's most beloved and well known saints.
The movie is the story of a man who pursues fame and fortune without a moral compass - and the changes that occur when events lead him to see the light. It also chronicles the collapse of the Roman world and how Augustine laid the intellectual foundations of what became Europe. This film fundraiser will take place at the tango theater at the Agana Center Stadium tonight at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at noon and 7pm and again on Sunday at noon and 7pm.
Tickets are $20 and will sold at the end of every Sunday mass in front of the church parishes of Agana, Barrigada, Asan, Tamunng, Yigo, Chalan Pago, Agat, Santa Rita, Merizo and Inarajan.
