Guam - 45 homes are being evacuated along Swamp Road near Flores Rosa Street in Dededo after a 5" projectile was discovered late this morning. Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense, Guam Fire and Police as well as the Navy's Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit are on the

scene.

Acting GHS/OCD Spokesperson Dee Cruz tells KUAM that EOD will be conducting a render safe procedure at 2pm and the evacuation is to ensure the safety of nearby residents within a 600 foot radius.

The Dededo Mayor's office is working with the various government agencies, going door to door to ensure residents evacuate until the area is deemed safe.  Those who do not have a place to go, can gather at the Astumbo Gym until the all-clear is given.
