Barrigada man arrested for assaulting cops

Kevin Crisostomo allegedly resisted arrest as he was taken into custody assaulting two police officers.

Guam - A 24-year-old Barrigada man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted two police officers during a brief standoff on Tuesday morning.  Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says officers responded to a reported disturbance on Route 8 in Barrigada. Upon arrival they met with a man and woman who had been arguing since Monday. 

Officer Balajadia says the man was armed with a knife and refused to release it when ordered to do so by police.  Kevin Crisostomo allegedly resisted arrest as he was taken into custody assaulting two police officers. He was charged with family violence, child abuse, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, terrorizing, two counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
