Guam - Emmanuel Cabrera Cepeda, 36, of Mongmong, is behind bars for the murder of a 35-year-old woman.  Cepeda was arrested Monday morning on charges of Aggravated Murder, Murder, Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct, Family Violence, Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm without Firearm Identification.

He is accused of shooting the woman at a home on Chalan Karetan Trosu in Dededo around seven o'clock on Sunday night.  Neighbors told KUAM News that the man, believed to have just recently been released from jail, went to the house and shot the woman. Based on the family violence charge, Cepeda must have had a relationship with the woman but police have not disclosed what that was.

Police arrived and found the man outside the house with a gun and took him into custody.  An autopsy is expected to be conducted this afternoon to determine the exact cause of death.
