Guam - Expect to hear some of your bee gees favorites like "How Deep Is Your Love" and "Stayin Alive," with the Australian Bee Gees, slated to perform a tribute to the Bee Gees on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16, at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort.
Mark Mendiola, UOG Endowment Foundation president, told KUAM News, "The Australian Bee Gees show actually came to Guam in 2009. They are actually touring the States and we're fortunate enough to have them passing through and able to get them to come to Guam and do a show."
Mendiola notes that the shows will benefit the Endowment Foundation, which is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to support UOG by seeking support through the community. "It was formed in 1982 it was actually visionaries that wanted to model raising money. I believe it was Jesus Leon Guerrero who was chairman of the Bank of Guam, Wilfred Leon Guerrero, who was president at the time and I believe Governor Ada was the governor at the time, they kind of formulated this whole group and went out there and started getting their business contacts and formed the Endowment Foundation," said Mendiola.
Tickets are $35 general admission and $60 for reserved seating and can be purchased at the GPO Bestseller Bookstore. The show is being sponsored by ASC Trust, Tan Holdings, Calvo Enterprises, Sheraton, Calvo's Insurance, Heineken, and the Stations of KUAM.
