Guam - Expect improvement with public transportation. Governor Eddie Calvo announcing that starting next month the Guam Regional Transit Authority will expand its service to 60 fixed routes, buy more buses, and will put out a new mass transit contract that will include even longer hours, more routes and seven days a week service.

Mass Transit's Felix Dungca said he was surprised his small agency was even recognized. "We're going to increase the services March 1st, we are purchasing 12 new busses that will come before the end of this fiscal year and just the one call and one click center, he mentioned that I was just on the edge of my seat, I can't believe he mentioned that so I just feel really humbled," he said.

The governor did say however there is a need for a long-term solution to address the island's mass transit needs and plans to work with the legislature. He said a part of the discussion may be about consolidating all public busing.
