Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo didn't just make some big announcements he also gave recognition as well. Calvo called the state of the government better than its been in two long decades. Two decades ago Joseph Ada was governor and Calvo recognized him as the only other governor to be able to say that tax refunds were paid on time adding he was proud to pick up where Ada left off.
Ada says he was happy for the mention. "I think he's doing very well in improving our economy and we're beginning to see it, beginning see now the economy grows," he said.
Democratic Party of Guam executive director Carlo Branch meanwhile called it a low blow to argue that former governors Felix Camacho and Carl Gutierrez didn't exist or perpetuated corruption and said as the governor of Guam "you don't unite the far right with the further right - you unite Democrat and Republican".
