Guam - Southern High School parents are just a click away from getting more involved with their child's progress in the classroom. According to assistant principal Gaylene Cruz, the Parent Portal is up and running. Cruz says most teachers have laptops in classrooms and are trained to input this data.

"We'd like to invite our parents to the parent portal to access power school so that way they can monitor their child online for attendance and academics and communicate with their teachers. So there's excuse why we can't get information to and from home," she said.

To get access to the Parent Portal, parents must come into the school and present an ID to secure a password.
