Guam - Renovations to the Southern High School gym and auditorium may be underway but won't finish on time without help from the island community. According to assistant principal Gaylene Cruz, large gym equipment, band instruments, and theater props must be moved for storage into containers before contractor BME & Sons can move forward with renovations.

"In order to meet the timeline we do need help we really need help in regards to moving these items out of those areas so they can proceed with those renovations," she explained.

Broken air conditioning and lack of maintenance resulted in termite infestation to the gym and auditorium. Cruz says renovations are set for completion in May.
