Convicted sex offender pleads not guilty for failing to register
A federal case was unsealed in the District Court today against convicted sex offender Michael Anthony Camacho.
Guam - A federal case was unsealed in the District Court today against convicted sex offender Michael Anthony Camacho. The indictment charges Camacho with failing to register as a sex offender dating back to February 2008. According to the Sex Offender Registry, Camacho last lived in Umatac and was working for the Guam Shipyard.
He was convicted of two counts of 1st degree criminal sexual conduct back in 2003 for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old female. He was recently arrested and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
A trial is set for April 16 and he was remanded to federal custody.
