Guam - Funeral services have been set for two men who spent a lifetime preserving the island's culture. Speaker Judi Won Pat has called the Guam Legislature into session on Monday morning followed by a state memorial service for former senator Tony Palomo at 8:30am at the Legislative Session Hall.

Heidi Ballendorf meanwhile says services for her father, retired University of Guam professor of history and Micronesian studies Dr. Dirk Ballendorf, will also be held that same morning from 9-11:15am at St. Anthony's Church in Tamuning followed a memorial mass at noon. "I just want to thank the community for the out pouring of love and support for myself, my family has been overwhelmed, it's going to be so hard say thank you to everybody because there's so many people to thank," she told KUAM News.
