Guam - The Guam International Airport Authority and several other autonomous agencies are preparing for this week's arrival of representatives from ratings authority Standard & Poors. On Wednesday the airport will give a presentation on its capabilities, financial portfolio and capital improvement projects.

Airport executive manager Chuck Ada says the airport wants to give S&P a greater understanding of the airport's capabilities and ability to expand in hopes for an increase rating. The airport is looking to refinance $150 million in bonds this summer in hopes the savings could be used to address co-mingling issues as well as upgrading flight and baggage information displays and increasing the number of ticket counters.

S&P officials are also expected to meet with GPA, GWA and the Port Authority this week.
