GEC continues 2010 election audit
The Guam Election Commission didn't let the Super Bowl stop them from continuing with the audit of the 2010 general election.
Guam - The Guam Election Commission didn't let the Super Bowl stop them from continuing with the audit of the 2010 general election. As of this afternoon, GEC staff were close to completing the handcount of Precinct 14 - the third of five precincts the GEC plans to recount.
Executive director Maria Pangelinan says four weeks since the handcount started, the agency has found no major differences in results. The handcount of the legislative race for Precinct 14 only saw a difference of three to five votes for some candidates which can be attributed to ballots that were either lightly shaded or had check marks which did not read in the machine tabulation back in 2010.
The GEC starts the handcount of Precinct 15c from Barrigada on Tuesday.
