Man held on bail for leading cops on high speed chase

Guam - Richard Junior Leon Guerrero Santos is being held on $2,000 cash bail after he led police on a high speed chase on Friday and nearly hit a police officer. According to court documents, Santos was arrested on a slew of charges to include assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, eluding a police officer and failure to comply. 

Police noticed Santos involved in a confrontation with another man at a Dededo intersection.  When police activated their patrol lights, Santos allegedly got into his car and drove away ignoring police commands, veering into oncoming traffic, hitting another car and then nearly reversing into an officer.   Police had to shatter the car window and pull him from the vehicle and struggled to place him under arrest. 

Authorities believe he was under the influence of drugs.
