Oceanview celebrates gym opening

Guam - It was an uproar of cheering as the Oceanview Middle School Knights celebrated the grand opening of their newly renovated gym. At today's ribbon cutting ceremony, principal Lynda Hernandez-Avilla said the days of using baby wipes to freshen up after physical education class are long over now that the gym is up and running, complete with locker rooms.
"We're not here today to remember all the obstacles of the past. We are here today to celebrate what lies ahead of us now. We finally have our gym back isn't that a wonderful feeling?" she asked.
The Agat gym was first condemned in 2001 after an earthquake.
