Guam - Guam Memorial Hospital staff are better equipped to address the needs of patients who need to be escorted off-island for medical treatment. Thanks to the generosity of TakeCare FHP, the hospital has two specialized cardiac transport monitors that are less bulky and are more efficient.

TakeCare FHP marketing administrator Agnes Perez said, "We always try to find ways to help support the hospital," with hospital staff nurse Liezl Concepcion adding, "You do have a blood pressure monitoring as well as an EKG rhythm that you can see of the patient as well as a pulse oxygen, for the oxygenation as well as in flight as well as temperature check."

The GMH Volunteers Association was able to secure TakeCare as a leading sponsor of last year's annual Charity Ball and organizers say this year they are hoping to raise $100,000 for the purchase of 13 new hospital beds and respiratory equipment.
