The crew of the USCGC Frederick Hatch completed a 20-day patrol across more than 500 miles of U.S. waters from Guam to the Northern Mariana Islands.

The patrol, part of Operation Rematau, focused on securing U.S. waters, deterring illegal migration, and enforcing federal law across the region. Crews maintained a constant presence in territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone, monitoring activity around Guam, Saipan, Tinian, and the Northern Islands of Pagan and Agrihan.

During the patrol, the cutter also delivered 1,500 pounds of food and supplies to residents on Pagan and Agrihan, two remote islands with limited access to transportation.

The crew also responded to a search and rescue operation off Tanguisson beach, assisting in a multi-agency effort to locate a missing swimmer.

Officials say the patrol highlights the Coast Guard’s role in protecting U.S. waters, supporting remote communities, and maintaining a strong presence across the Marianas.
