Guam - What should have been a week of special meetings to continue hearing the appeal of Guam Resource Recovery Partners last week has been postponed to March 25 through April 1 from 9am to noon and 1:30-4pm.
Each party will be limited to 30 hours, each which includes direct and cross-examination of witnesses and any opening statement and/or closing argument.
Within 10 to 14 days after the conclusion of the hearing, the parties must submit findings of fact and conclusions of law to the hearing officer.
As we've been reporting, Guam EPA administrator Eric Palacios denied GRRP's permit to operate a landfill in Atantano, Santa Rita because it failed to meet all the legal requirements including lack of financial assurance, post closure care, and plans for management of leachate.
