Guam - A Dededo man is behind bars charged with attempted murder charges.  Clifford Benavente San Nicolas, 32, was arrested in connection with shooting a 26-year-old woman in the neck on Saturday. 

The woman was brought to the Dededo Fire Station with a gunshot wound.  GPD Spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says the shooting occurred while San Nicolas and the victim were engaged in an argument.

San Nicolas is charged with attempted murder, family violence, terrorizing, possession and use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, possession of an unregistered firearm without a firearms ID and reckless conduct.  The victim remains in critical condition at the Guam Memorial Hospital.
