Guam - A high-ranking official with the U.S. Transportation in the Department of Defense paid the Port Authority of Guam a visit this morning for a briefing with other military officials. Committee on Transportation chair Senator Tom Ada tells KUAM News that General William M. Frasier along with Andersen Air Force Base Guam Brigadier General Steven Garland, Joint Regional Marianas Command Rear Admiral Tilghman Payne and Naval Base Guam Commanding Officer Capt. Mike Ward gave a brief to port management and went on a tour of the Jose D. Leon Guerrero Commercial Port.

Ada says he's unsure of the specific reason for the visit but says the visit to the Port would certainly be very relevant to Frasier as the Commercial Port play a key role in the movement of logistics Waterborn and it would be fitting to see the existing conditions that are being improved considering the Department of Defense has contributed millions to the modernization at the Port.

Ada says Frasier will be leaving Guam tomorrow.
