Guam - The Court Interpreter Project was launched today aimed at improving services for non-English speaking criminal defendants.  The Judiciary of Guam launched the program with a new code of conduct and compensation structure for court interpreters.

Senior Judge Pro-Tem Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson says the new program will address the need for reliable court interpreter services and improve access to justice for everyone. Those individuals who are interested in applying to become a court interpreter can find more information at GuamCourts.org
