Guam - A team from the National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute are on island providing a wealth of information to better equip investigators and prosecutors. Human trafficking was the focus of today's discussion as experts from the states provided critical information to help aid in the identification of victims, investigation techniques, and tips for successful prosecution.

Chris Toth with NAGTRI told KUAM News, "They're giving best practices and tips that have been gleaned from some major human trafficking investigations and prosecutions so we bring that all together and we provide whate4ver resources we can so that other investigators and prosecutors kind of have a heads' up on dealing with that issue."

This week's training also included discussion on trial techniques, ethics, and e-discovery. State prosecutors from around the region were also able to participate in the training thanks to funding from the Pacific Judicial Council.
