Guam - District Court Chief Judge Frances Tydingco Gatewood has denied motions to dismiss and suppress statements in an illegal gambling case. Wai Kam Ho and Jennie Wen Chin Pau had moved to have the federal criminal charges dismissed against them and statements they made to authorities thrown out. Ho, Pau, Jimmy Hsieh and William Perez are accused of running illegal gambling operations at the former MGM Spa that is being demolished.

Perez was partially granted his motion to suppress certain statements he made to the FBI back in December 2010 as the court determined law enforcement authorities had exerted complete control over Perez at the time of the interrogation. The same didn't apply to Ho and Pau as the court determined that both consented to being questioned and were never taken into custody or held by authorities.

The judge also denied Ho and Pau's motion to dismiss the charges.
