Roland Quitugua named to Invasive Special Advisory Committee

Department of the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has appointed Roland Quitigua from the University of Guam as one of the 14 new members of the Invasive Species Advisory Committee.

Guam - Department of the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has appointed Roland Quitigua from the University of Guam as one of the 14 new members of the Invasive Species Advisory Committee, which provides advice and recommendations to the National Invasive Species Council.  Quitigua is the extension agent at UOG's Cooperative Extension Services and currently the operations chief for the Guam Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle Eradication Program and chairman of the Northern Guam Soil and Water Conservation District. 

The ISAC generally holds two meetings a year with a meeting scheduled for March in Virginia.
