Guam - The Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority's properties in Toto and Dededo received high marks during a recent inspection. GHURA executive director Mike Duenas says a team of inspectors from HUD came and reviewed the properties.

The initial rating was a 94 but there was a six point deduction for health and safety violations. "It's a combination of housekeeping practices of the residents. One of the things that happens is when they close their units up the mold and moisture accumulates and you get mold on the ceiling or the bathrooms," he said.

Duenas says the agency is proud of their achievement but property site managers are looking at the deficiencies to see how they can improve and get a higher rater during the next inspection in two years.

The other GHURA properties are inspected annually.
