Guam - While visitor numbers continue to increase, the Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association strives to keep service outstanding. The membership met Thursday where GHRA president Mary Torre Rhodes reported the island rounded out the year with 1.3 million visitors as well as hotels with 100-percent occupancy month-to-month.

"GHRA has just done a lot with the tourism industry to make sure our destination we're looking at things to make sure our visitors are happy when they get here and looking at some of the service programs with all the training opportunities we have," she said.

GHRA also supports an apprenticeship program which trains over 1,000 public school students on how to cater to Guam's number one industry.
