Guam - The University of Guam is a $100,000 closer to its $60 million target to build a 21st Century campus. CoreTech International board member Tony Sgro says president Ho Yun wanted to get more involved with the island community, which prompted the donation.

"CoreTech is actually a locally-owned company a lot of people misconstrued it as its not all decisions are made out of Guam, all taxes are made out on this island today and its time that we've given back to the community and we've started. Here with this $100,000 donation to the Endowment Foundation here at the university," said Sgro.

Once the university's School of Engineering gears up, Sgro says core tech will also start a scholarship fund.
