Guam - The handcount continues for the audit of the 2010 general election. The auditing team of Guam Election Commission staff finished counting 475 out of 762 ballots for the first of five precincts in the senatorial race today. Executive director Maria Pangelinan says while they won't meet the initial 30 to 45 deadline outlined in the law, staff are working as quickly as possible.

"It's now we're looking at a minute a ballot for the Guam Legislature for the single office race we can just separate the ballot, so it's going a okay, it's getting faster, a little bit but it's going," she said.

She adds staff are also working on completing other mandates of the law including meeting this month's deadline to publish a purged list of voters who did not vote in the 2010 and 2012 general election.
