Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency board will meet tomorrow during which they may act on an appeal filed by Cyfred. Guam EPA spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft said, "During the last board of directors meeting they did discuss the Ccyfred decision on the Cyfred appeal and they didn't have a quorum at that time on that particular time, but if they do have a quorum they may move forward with that."
Cyfred proposed a pilot sewer system for the sewerless Gill-Baza Subdivision, but was denied as the board was concerned that the property sits just about the island's northern aquifer where we get more than 80-percent of our drinking water.
Immediately following the meeting, the board is set to discuss the TrashCo appeal. Last year the local trash hauler was issued a notice of violation for illegal dumping because they took the bins but left the trash at public health for being behind on their payment.
The regular meet is set for 4pm in the Guam EPA's Conference Room.
