Guam - The Guam Election Commission continued the handcount of 2010 general election ballots today. It was yesterday when the GEC audit team completed the congressional and gubernatorial handcount for Precinct 10 in Yona. Executive director Maria Pangelinan says today's handcount focused on the legislative race.

Pangelinan says the team was able to count one-third of the 762 ballots today, telling KUAM News, "What that entails is there will be one caller, one watching the caller and three tickers so as names are called by the numbers they will be ticking and that what's we will do all day today and possibly in the morning tomorrow for Precinct 10."

She expects to complete the audit of the first precinct this week, which also includes handcounting the non-partisan ballot as well. She adds the Commission is keeping a journal everyday of the audit and will report it for a progress update at its next meeting on Friday at 5:16pm.
