Guam - Former Port Authority of Guam corporate services manager Vivian Leon is scheduled to appear before the Civil Service Commission this week with her attorney. The status call is aimed at bringing the parties together to discuss possible resolution of the case.

Leon is one of six Port workers who were terminated last month for their alleged involvement in processing illegal benefits for marketing administrator Bernadette Stern Meno. Meno claimed she slipped and fell in the Port bathroom in September 2011 and was scheduled to go to Hawaii for surgery. Her travel request and authorization was red-flagged at Adelup.

Leon has alleged her termination was politically motivated and that the Governor's Office was involved and was protecting a Port worker whose son is a known supporter of the governor.

The status call is scheduled for Tuesday.
