(January 11, 2012 - Tamuning) The Department of Public Works has issued an alert to all motorists that the Pago Bay lane closure originally scheduled for January 10 through January 12 has been postponed to next week due to utility conflicts.

A travel lane will be closed on Route 4 near Pago Bay from Tuesday, January 15, to Friday, January 18, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Traffic will be limited to a single lane of travel through the construction zone.

Traffic flaggers will be directing traffic through the work zone during this short-term lane closure.  Motorists traveling through this section of Route 4 should expect delays and are asked to obey all traffic signs.

The lane closure is necessary as the contractor will be installing drainage pipes and paving as part of the Route 4 Roadway Reconstruction project. The DPW would like to thank the public for their continued cooperation.
