Guam - Set to be inaugurated are the mayor- and vice mayor-elects. According to Mayors Council of Guam executive director Angel Sablan, the MCOG is hosting an orientation for mayor- and vice mayor-elects, their administrative assistants, and outgoing mayors on Thursday. Sablan says although the orientation will cover rules and regulations, budgeting, and other responsibilities, the eight newly elected will have to learn other lessons on the job.

"I know that they are unaware of the many complaints and the desires of their community members and you can't please everybody and I'm sure that they're going to learn very fast if not on the first day," said Sablan.

Sablan adds he's also anxious to see the changing dynamics in the MCOG as republicans now hold the majority at 16 to 10 Democrats. The orientation is set to take place at reef hotel from 8am to 5pm.
