Guam - Hoping to create a dialogue to review programs, policies and practices to address the needs of families living in the world with disabilities, Senator Aline Yamashita will begin her community conversations this week. The Republican lawmaker says she hopes the discussions will help the island community better understand, address and strengthen the safety and security of all those living with mental health issues as well as their families.

Yamashita is also calling on professionals to attend the meeting so that they can discuss what can be done and needs to be done to ensure the needs are being met. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 in the morning in the Legislative Public Hearing Room.
