Guam - The House of Representatives passed the FY2013 National Defense Authorization Act Conference Report today. It includes about $102 million work of military construction authorizations and appropriations for Guam. Of that amount, $26 million has been appropriated for a project at Andersen Air Force Base, $68 million for the upgrade of a fuel pipeline and $8.5 million for the Guam National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters. As we reported Guam Delegate Madeleine Bordallo said although it allows specific exceptions that would allow for funding to support the marines realignment from Okinawa to Guam, it does not authorize funds for certain civilian infrastructure projects.
