DOCOMO's purchase of MCV approved

Guam - The Public Utilities Commission has approved DOCOMO Pacific Holdings' purchase of Guam Telecom, LLC (dba, "MCV Broadband"). PUC legal counsel Fred Horecky says just as the administrative law judge recommended approval by the PUC, the order is conditioned on the Federal Communications Commission's approval, along with compliance with the terms and conditions of the purchase and sales agreement.

He adds DOCOMO was able to meet the statutory criteria of having the financial, technical and managerial resources to continue to provide telecommunications services along with not being contrary to public interest.
