Guam - It's been over a month and still no word on whether action will be taken on Customs Major Phil Taijeron - the irate parent who allegedly stormed into Untalan Middle School cursing and making threatening remarks to students and staff after receiving a call from his daughter that she had been bullied. Airport Police did not arrest him after calling the Attorney General's Office who told him to release for possible indictment.

Guam Education Board member Barry Mead is concerned the situation was handled poorly in comparison to a report made earlier this month where a parent from Simon Sanchez High School was arrested the same day after shouting "get a gun and shoot my kid" as a class walked by. Mead told KUAM News, "I would ask the AG what's the difference between my understanding is and I've seen written reports that Mr. Taijeron threatened to shoot kids and bring bodily harm to our staff those reports were turned over to the AG the department doesn't have the ability to, but what is the difference? It could be political. I suggested that we have a restraining order on Mr. Taijeron motivated it can be motivated by anything you want to talk about."

Mead adds he is confident GPD would've arrested Taijeron had they been the first responders to the Tiyan campus. Taijeron issued a public apology for his actions.

Meanwhile, DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez says further action must be taken by the AG's Office, not DOE.
