Guam - In the ongoing Blue House Lounge case in the Superior Court of Guam today, Prosecutor Nelson Werner told the court that the Attorney General's Office is working on another superseding indictment after receiving new information about another possible victim that may come forward.

Song Ja Cha, Freda Eusen along with police officers  David Q. Manila, Anthony Quenga and Mario Laxamana face multiple charges for their involvement in the illegal brothel. Cha has already been convicted in federal court. She was convicted of luring young girls from Chuuk to Guam and then forcing them to work as prostitutes as the now shutdown upper Tumon establishment.

During today's motions hearing Attorney Leevin Camacho withdrew as legal counsel for Officer Quenga,  citing a conflict.  Attorney Douglas Moylan was appointed as his replacement but a hearing will be held on December 24th to determine whethr he has any conflicts.

As for Officer Manila his attorney continued to press upon the court why he should be released on bail. Prosecutor Werner however used the alleged security breach at the Hagatna Detention Facility as an example that officer Manila may not comply with his release conditions. As we reported DOC along with GPD are investigating an alleged security breach into how officer Manila was able to have access to a cell phone. It's alleged a GPD employee detailed to DOC gave it to him. The Judge took the motion for bail modification under advisement.

With regards to Defense Attorney William Pole's motion regarding prosecutorial vindictiveness, Prosecutor Werner responded that the Defense needs to step back a bit before making scandalous accusations about what is or is not in police reports. As we reported Attorney Pole, who represents Manila, believes his clients are being targeted because based on evidence submitted by the government there are other police officers as well as a marshal that have been linked to the case. Werner said that it is his decision and part of the prosecution's discretion not to reveal those names.

The trial which was scheduled to get underway on January 2nd was vacated and instead the defendants are scheduled to appear back in court for further proceedings on January 14th.
