Salvation Army gets another 3,000 toys
The Salvation Army received its final haul of donations. This time, close to 3,000 toys from the Marine Corps Activity Guam and the Guam Veterans Motorcycle Club.

Guam - The Salvation Army received its final haul of donations. This time, close to 3,000 toys from the Marine Corps Activity Guam and the Guam Veterans Motorcycle Club.
Staff Sergeant Jonathan Brown says this is the third year they've given to the non-profit organization. "e are going to continue every year to do this it's become a tradition here at Marine Corps Activity Guam and we're definitely going to keep it going strong and hopefully next year be able to double our efforts," he said.
Guam Veterans Motorcycle Club president Al Parke says this is their second year to participate as they donated $1,500 in donations they raised from scratch card fundraisers. "To put a smile on a kids face that's a blessing and especially it's Christmas," he said.
Salvation Army's Captain Kelley Buckbee-Lutcher says the unofficial count is over 6,000 toys, which will be distributed starting tomorrow to pre-registered families from 10am-4pm. "It's just been group after group has been coming in and just really rising to the occasion and meeting our need," she said.
