Guam - 'Tis the season...for thieves. In the last three days alone, the Guam Police Department received more than 60 reports of burglaries and theft of property.  GPD spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says residents are reminded not to leave their valuables or presents in plain sight in their cars.  He also advises residents not to carry a lot of cash while shopping as pulling out a large wad of money while making a purchase can make you a target.

Police also recommend doing as much shopping in the daylight hours and parking in well lit areas.  Also make sure the windows and doors around your home are always locked to ensure burglars don't have easy access into your residence.
