Guam - The Guam attorney general has provided an open-ended response to the defense claims that the prosecution allegedly stopped reporting officers in the Blue House Lounge prostitution case from naming other officers accused of misconduct. Defense attorney William Pole made the argument in his motion to dismiss for his client, Officer David Q. Manila.
He says the claim is part of the discovery.
AG Leonardo Rapadas could not speak on the ongoing litigation, only telling KUAM News, "As far as ongoing, normally we don't. The office does not talk about ongoing cases unless you get specific court orders for people to not speak about something you can't prevent them from doing that."
Several motions to dismiss the indictment against former lounge owner, Song Ja Cha, were also filed in the Superior Court of Guam this week. All defendants are scheduled to appear for a hearing on all motions on December 24.
